Remembering Colonel Nicholson

Lately I've had occasion to recall Bridge on the River Kwai, a classic film from the 1950s. The film concerns a fictional Colonel Nicholson, a British officer in World War II, a man of determination and courage, who is confined with his officers and men in Burma in a Japanese prisoner-of-war camp. Nicholson rallies the spirit of his men by leading them in building a bridge critical for the Japanese supply line, but he becomes so obsessed with the project that he loses sight of the interests of his country. Book project: Help wanted

I've written a book, which is set to be launched in mid April. It's a commentary on Ecclesiastes, "the strangest book in the Bible," from the point of view of a follower of the Bhagavad-gita. The book will be published by the BBT. And I could use some help. In fact, I could use a lot of help. Help with marketing and promotion, help with social media, and -- right now -- help with setting up two websites: one for the book, another for the author. Bhaktivedanta Archives releases 2014 VedaBase

The Bhaktivedanta Archives has released the 2014 update for the Bhaktivedanta VedaBase. If you already have a copy of the VedaBase, the update is free. At the same time, the Archives has released mp3s of its full collection of audio recordings of Śrīla Prabhupāda from 1975 (315 hours, 563 audio files, 14Gb).
